Project Share: A Name Sign for My Classroom

This past week if you follow my IG or YouTube I talked about this sign I made for my classroom. I started with a 12x12 canvas.
I used a Damask mask and blue acrylic paint first.

I then used Mod Podge to attach yellow scrapbook paper and multi color tissue paper. I also added some vintage looking Washi Tape.

I then used a heart shape mask and Tomato Red Tattered Angels spray.

Next, I used Gesso and a butterfly mask. BTW in between all these steps I used my heat tool to dry them. Once the Gesso was pretty dry I placed the mask back over it and used purple acrylic paint on the Gesso.

I then got some wax paper and used a dotted mask and sprayed Tiger Lily Tattered Angels on it. Dryer it tore pieces and attached them to the canvas with Mod Podge.

After that was done I splattered it with a dark green, (I think it Forest Green but not sure) Tattered Angels drops.

Last I used my Cricut and the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge to cut out my name in a really super thick black card stock, and used Mod Podge one again to adhere it.

This was my first time with this technique, hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading!

Some Project Sharing.

This past weekend I got my craft on and got some things accomplished. Any one who talks to me daily know my distaste of white walls. Our house is a rental who prefers us not to change the walls, so in my craft room since its a new thing for me to have was pretty bare. It would just get under my skin to see it, and then to make it worse Matt took 2 shelves that were covering up some of the albino walls. I had to do something. So I pulled out some of my stocked up canvas and painted it black. Then I cut out some things with my Cricut and Mod Podged them to the canvas. I really like it. Not only is is covering up some space but its inspirational.

Next I broke out my Greeting Farm stamp Megan, and my unused Copics and did me some coloring! I don't have that many Copics yet so I also had to use other markers, but for my first time with the Copics I was happy.

Then I used her to make a card for a challenge/giveaway. I haven't made a card, I think for 2 years! It was nice to get back into my groove. And I like my little sassy card I ended up with!

I also started putting some of my Project Life cards to use by starting my Berner album. All my childhood pictures where just thrown into an old album that was falling apart. There are so many and i really felt overwhelmed trying scrapbook each picture. Then Project Life entered my life and I swear a light shined down from Heaven and I heard the Angels sing, "Ahhh Ahhh Ahhhhhhhh"! Ok.......... Maybe that didn't happen, but it felt like it did! I knew this was the answer to make a new album to be pretty with out all the stress of actually scrapbooking each and every photo.

Hope you had a great weekend as well. Now I'm trying to get over a nasty cold; I hate summer colds!
Thanks for stopping by and reading!
